“Dawn and Dorothy in the Afterlife” Reading

I’m absolutely delighted that my 15-minute comedy, “Dawn and Dorothy in the Afterlife” will have a reading at the LAVA Center in Greenfield, MA as part of their On the Boards festival on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Dawn Powell and Dorothy Parker (who were not friends) are stuck together in the afterlife for eternal, drunken luncheons. But can they find a way out, as they watch friends and colleagues pass through?

I had such a great experience as part of this festival last year with “The Voices” and I’m looking forward to working with them again.

Thank You, Athena Project!

Thank you so much to the Athena Project for featuring my full-length play, THE WOMEN ON THE BRIDGE, inspired by the Edvard Munch painting, in their “Read ‘n Rant” series on March 16.

It was terrific to work with the wonderful dramaturg, Liv Rigdon, again, too.

I appreciate everyone at Athena Project, and the readers who attended to discuss the two featured plays.

The Women on the Bridge at Athena Read ‘n Rant in March!

I’m absolutely delighted that my full-length drama stage play, THE WOMEN ON THE BRIDGE, was chosen as one of the two plays for The Athena Project’s Read ‘n Rant on March 16th.

In 1904, three young women plan their escape from a claustrophobic small New Hampshire town. In 1934, they’ve built new lives and loves in the Hudson Valley of New York. But their pasts are about to catch up with them.

This play was inspired by the Edvard Munch painting of the same name, which I spent a lot of time with during the Munch exhibit at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA.

I began writing the play during my time with Toronto’s Nightwood Theatre Creatryx Unit, and workshopped scenes there and with the Boiler House Poets Collective in residence at The Studios at MASSMoCA. I finished the first draft in the Dramatists Guild End of Play program, while I was part of the Northern Berkshire Artist Capacity Building Program.

I had such a great experience with the Athena Project in May of 2025, when they featured JUST A DROP, my play about Giulia Tofana. I ‘m very excited to be part of it again.

3 Readings — 3 Plays — 3 States — 6 Weeks

I’m delighted to share that three of my plays will have readings/discussions over a six week period in May and June of 2025.

“A Rare Medium” featuring one of Kate Warne’s cases as the first female Pinkerton, will be read on May 14 by the Lumos Players in Ohio. Kate and her team go undercover in the occult to thwart a pair of adulterous poisoners.

JUST A DROP featuring Giulia Tofana, herbalist and poisoner, will be discussed as part of The Athena Project’s Read ‘n Rant series in Colorado on May 19. Old and new enemies threaten Giulia and her dedicated circle of herbalists in 17th century Rome.

“The Voices” which is a contemporary 10-minute play, will have a table read at the LAVA Center in Greenfield, MA on June 29. A writer’s inner critcis externalize & give her a hard time as she tries to finish a contracted novel.

I’m absolutely delighted for these development opportunities, and grateful to the theatres supporting them.
